🌱How to plant seeds
Soak the seeds for approximately 1 hour prior to planting. Direct sow or start indoors 2 weeks prior to planting. Seeds need consistent warmth to germinate, placing them in a windowsill will not generate enough heat and is not recommended.
Step 1: PREPARE
Plant the seed pointed side down in your planting medium about 3/4”-1” deep. These pumpkin seeds germinate best when the soil is kept at around 30°C. Seedling heat mats are the best source of heat for this process. Plants should be up in 3-5 days.
Step 2: SOWING THE SEED
Once the seedlings are beginning to show the first true leaf (the two cotyledons appear first, the first true leaf will appear in the middle.) it’s time to transplant the plants outdoors. A day or two of acclimating to the outdoor temperature wouldn’t hurt the plants prior to actual planting. A mild fertilizer can be added at the time of transplanting, but avoid over fertilizing early in the plants life.
Step 3: transplant
Water deeply and consistently, aiming for about an inch of water per week. Avoid getting water on the leaves to prevent mold and mildew. Harvest when the pumpkin reaches its maximum size. You can test ripeness by pressing a fingernail into the skin; if it doesn’t puncture, it’s mature. Cut the pumpkin from the vine, leaving a long stem, which helps it stay fresh longer.

Looks like a lot of fruit. Is it difficult to grow?
